Pre-fill a batch at home, drop one into the chamber when you want a session, swap in a fresh one when you're done. No grinder in your pocket, no herb dust in your bag, no crouching in a parking lot trying to pack a bowl in the wind.

The reasons they top the list: they're inexpensive, they make dosing consistent, they keep your chamber cleaner for longer, and they turn every session into a 5-second swap. If you vape anywhere other than your couch, they pay for themselves fast.

🕸️ Replacement screens (the cheap fix everyone forgets)

Screens are the small mesh discs that sit in the cooling unit and the chamber. They stop plant material from being pulled into your airflow and mouthpiece. They're consumable: over time they clog with resin, and eventually one gets bent, pushed out, or torn during cleaning. A blocked or damaged screen is one of the most common reasons a Mighty or Crafty suddenly "won't draw" or tastes off.

The fix costs almost nothing. A pack of 15 mm replacement screens is the exact size used in the cooling unit, and keeping a few spares means a torn screen is a 30-second swap instead of a dead device until your next order arrives.

There are two screen sizes in the S&B world: the smaller drip-pad/base screens and the 15 mm cooling-unit screens. The 15 mm is the one people replace most, because it's the one you handle every time you clean the cooling unit.

⚙️ A grinder (important, if you don't have one)

This one has an asterisk. A good grinder is genuinely important for a dry-herb vaporizer, because an even, medium-fine grind is what gives you clean airflow and full extraction. But most people already own a grinder they're happy with, and any decent metal grinder does the job. You don't need the branded one.

Buy a grinder only if yours is worn, plastic, or gives an uneven grind. If you already have a solid two- or four-piece metal grinder, save your money for capsules and screens. The device doesn't care whose name is on the grinder.

🎒 Cases & carry (nice-to-have)

A padded case is a comfort buy, not a necessity, but it's a good one if you travel or commute with your device. The Mighty in particular is a chunky unit, and a hard case protects it, keeps the cooling unit from popping open in a bag, and gives you a pocket for capsules, a brush and spare screens. That last part is the real value: a case that carries your capsules and screens turns your whole kit into one grab-and-go pouch.

If your device lives on a shelf at home, skip it. If it rides in a backpack, it's worth the peace of mind.

🔌 USB-C chargers & power (situational)

Newer S&B portables charge over USB-C, which means you very likely already own three cables and a wall brick that work fine. So a charger is usually a "you already have this" item, not a purchase.

Two exceptions make it worth buying. First, if you have an older Mighty that shipped before USB-C, an upgraded charger or the right cable is a real convenience. Second, a dedicated spare charger that stays in your bag or at the office means you never carry your good one back and forth. Beyond that, don't overthink power. A quality USB-C cable and a decent wall adapter charge these devices without any special accessory.

📦 The filling set (mostly skippable)

The filling set is a tray-and-funnel kit designed to load many dosing capsules at once: line them up, spread ground herb across the whole tray, cap them in one pass. On paper it's the ultimate batching tool. In practice, most owners find it fiddly. Herb scatters between the cups, you still go back to top each one off, and there's a tray to clean afterward.

Honestly, filling capsules by hand is faster, cleaner and gives you more control. Pinch herb into each cup, tamp lightly, cap, repeat. You can knock out a week's worth in a few minutes without a tray to wrangle. The filling set only earns its place if you're loading dozens of capsules at a time on a regular schedule.

🚫 What you can skip

• Duplicate cables and bricks you already own from every other USB-C gadget in the house.
• The filling set, unless you batch huge quantities regularly (see above).
• A branded grinder if your current one grinds evenly.
• Novelty mouthpiece attachments that don't improve airflow or flavor in any measurable way.
