💊 Dosing capsules (buy these first)
Dosing capsules are our pick for the first accessory to add to a Mighty, Crafty or Venty. They're small aluminum cups that each hold one serving of ground herb, about 150 mg according to Storz & Bickel. Pre-fill a batch at home, drop one into the chamber when you want a session, and swap in a fresh one when you're done. No grinder in your pocket, no herb dust in your bag, no crouching in a parking lot trying to pack a bowl in the wind.
The reasons they top the list: they're inexpensive, each one holds the same amount so your dose is consistent, and Storz & Bickel notes that capsules reduce contact with the chamber, so it stays clean longer. Every session becomes a quick swap.
Storz & Bickel makes the filling chamber the same size on the Mighty+, Crafty+, Venty and Veazy, so the same capsule fits all of them directly. For the desktop Volcano and Plenty, Storz & Bickel sells a separate dosing capsule adapter. On the Venty, Storz & Bickel notes that capsules may reduce airflow, so open the airflow wheel a notch if the draw feels tight.

🕸️ Replacement screens (the cheap, easy-to-forget fix)
Screens are the small mesh discs in the cooling unit and at the bottom of the filling chamber. They stop plant material from being pulled into your airflow and mouthpiece. They're consumable: over time they clog with resin, and eventually one gets bent, pushed out, or torn during cleaning. Storz & Bickel's own advice is to brush the screens after each use and to replace clogged or damaged ones. A blocked or damaged screen is a common reason a Mighty or Crafty suddenly "won't draw" or tastes off.
The fix costs almost nothing. Our 15 mm replacement screens are made for the Mighty, Crafty and Venty cooling units, and keeping a few spares means a torn screen is a quick swap instead of a dead device until your next order arrives.
There are two kinds of screen to know about. The small filling-chamber screens come in "normal" and "coarse" versions, and a few of each come in the box with the Mighty+ and Crafty+ (the Venty box also includes cooling-unit screens). The cooling-unit screen is the one our 15 mm screen replaces, and you handle it every time you take the cooling unit apart to clean it.

This one has an asterisk. A good grinder matters for a dry-herb vaporizer, because a fine, even grind (not dust) gives you clean airflow and full extraction. But if you already own a grinder you're happy with, any decent metal grinder does the job. You don't need a branded one.
Buy a grinder only if yours is worn, plastic, or gives an uneven grind. If you already have a solid two- or four-piece metal grinder, save your money for capsules and screens.
🎒 Cases & carry (nice-to-have)
A padded case is a comfort buy, not a necessity, but it's a good one if you travel or commute with your device. The Mighty+ in particular is a chunky unit (about 242 g), and a hard case protects it from knocks and gives you a pocket for capsules, a brush and spare screens. That last part is the real value: a case that carries your capsules and screens turns your whole kit into one grab-and-go pouch.
If your device lives on a shelf at home, skip it. If it rides in a backpack, it's worth the peace of mind.
🔌 Chargers & power (situational)
The Mighty+, Crafty+ and Venty charge over USB-C and come with a cable. Whether you need anything more depends on your device and how you use it.
- Mighty+: the manual recommends a USB charger of at least 5V/2A (a weaker one shows "SLO"). For Supercharge (about 80% in 40 minutes) it needs a USB-C PD charger of at least 9V/3A, and to vape while plugged in it needs 15V/3A (45 W). The battery doesn't charge while you run it from the wall.
- Venty: Supercharge gives about 80% in 40 minutes with the Storz & Bickel USB-C Supercharger. It can't be used while charging.
- Crafty+: charges over USB-C without Supercharge, and can't be used while charging. A red/green blinking LED means the cable isn't suitable.
- Original Mighty: it doesn't charge over USB at all. It uses its own power adapter with a round plug, and the Mighty+ chargers aren't interchangeable with it. If you want a spare, it has to be that adapter.
A spare charger that stays in your bag or at the office is a real convenience. Storz & Bickel recommends using its original chargers and cables for safe operation and to keep the warranty.
📦 The filling set (situational)
Storz & Bickel's Dosing Capsule Filling Set is built to fill 40 capsules at the same time. It comes with 40 capsules and a plunger that helps you close them. If you fill a full batch at once, that's exactly the job it's designed for.
If you only fill a few capsules at a time, you don't need it. Storz & Bickel's own suggestion for filling by hand is to use the Magazine cap as a funnel: fill a capsule, twist the cap on clockwise, repeat, and store them in the Magazine (it holds 8). Pinch, tamp lightly, cap, repeat, and you can fill a week's worth in a few minutes.

- The filling set, unless you fill capsules in batches of 40.
- A branded grinder if your current one grinds evenly.
